Seniors Message Board

Beaufort played Hudson Roofing in the 1st rd of the Notts Int Cup. In what proved to be an evenly contested affair. Hudson took the lead midway through the first half, with very little to chose between the sides Beaufort pressed for an equaliser. only for Hudson to double their lead with 10mins to go before the break.Beaufort started to get on top but went into half time 2 goals down.Having already had to use both substitutes due to injuries to Bryn Jones & Mark Evans.

The second half started well and when Chris Shepstone whipped in a cross a Hudson defender turned it into his own net. Robbie Clarke then scored to level the match. Clarke scored again to put Beaufort into the lead, only for Hudson to equalise and take the match into extra time.

2 goals in the first period of extra time from Chris Mercer & Jamie Mawdsley finally sealed a great comeback, in what was an excellent match and advert for Senior football.
